Try Your Hand At Spanish Food

Published by Author at 3:40 am under Spanish Food

If you like ethnic food and you’re sick and tired of the typical Mexican, Italian, Chinese or Japanese cuisine, try going Spanish tonight. When people think of Spanish food, they probably think it’s very similar to Mexican food. Well, it’s true that they use many of the same ingredients and they do eat some of the same things, but comparing Spanish food to Mexican food is doing it a great disservice. Spanish food is often richer and made with more elaborate ingredients. Also, Spanish food is known for Tapas, which an entire table can enjoy and everyone is satisfied.

For Authentic Spanish Cuisine

If you want to know how authentic Spanish cuisine is prepared, visit a Spanish restaurant. If you live in a big city, it’s likely there’s a Spanish restaurant near you. You’ll be amazed at how delicious the food is, as well as what a variety there is. There’s something for everyone when it comes to this type of food. Of course, if you don’t have the money for an authentic Spanish restaurant or you can’t find one in your area, why not try your hand at cooking Spanish food yourself?

Cooking Spanish Food Yourself

If you want to try your hand at Spanish food, get your hands on a Spanish cook book. There is usually a good variety of foods that can be prepared when it comes to a Spanish food cook book. The ingredients, as stated before, are very similar to Mexican food. You’ll use lots of beans, rice, tortillas, tomatoes, meat and more. The spices are what makes Spanish food richer than Mexican food and you’ll notice the difference after the very first bite.

Tapas

Spanish food is also known for its Tapas. Tapas are sort of like ordering appetizers. The family at the table will order several of these dishes and then everyone shares. That way, everyone gets a good variety of food and everyone’s happy. Authentic Spanish restaurants, or cook books, will list Tapas as part of the food choices so give these a try and see why everyone is so crazy about eating Spanish Tapas.

If you’ve never visited Spain and you’ve ever eaten Spanish food, you don’t know what you’re missing. Get your hands on a good cook book or get yourself to a Spanish restaurant and see what all the fuss is all about. You never know, you could find yourself loving a new type of food.

I would love to be able to cook better Spanish food, Chorizo being my favourite food, so recipes for using it would be great. I’ve been looking at this course in Malaga for the summer, Improve my Spanish and Cooking!
