There are endless possibilities of recipes for having a BBQ dinner. The most important tool for any expert BBQ cook is that BBQ skewers. Nearly any recipe can be made with BBQ skewers. It is good for any BBQ cook to invest in a great set of BBQ skewers. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes.
Finding the Right Skewers
BBQ skewers run the gamut: you can get simple wood ones or you can spend a little extra and get a set of skewers that will last through years of cooking on the grill. If you love to enjoy a lot of skewer dishes, your best bet would be to invest in a set of stainless steel BBQ skewers.
These are available at most retailers that sell grills and kitchenware. They are prices anywhere from a few dollars up to around fifty dollars, depending on the quality you are seeking. If you grill a lot, it is better to make the initial investment now so that you will have a set of BBQ skewers that will last throughout many summers of backyard grilling for lunch and dinner.
Chipotle Shrimp Recipe for Skewers
Here is the type of recipe that calls for BBQ skewers: Chipotle BBQ shrimp skewers. This recipe is made from large shrimp, butter, BBQ sauce (whatever type you love best), chipotle peppers, garlic, and lime juice. Sound good? Let’s get started.
To make the skewers, first you need to mix all the ingredients together and create a marinade. Then you need to prepare the shrimp by peeling and de-veining the shrimp. Then once they are prepared, the shrimp will go directly into the marinade for at least thirty minutes in the refrigerator. The longer you keep it in the marinade though, the richer the flavor will be, so it is up to you how long you keep it in there. Overnight will get the best flavor.
Once you are ready to cook, thread the shrimp onto the BBQ skewers. You will need to grill the skewers for about four minutes on each side. Serve the shrimp with grilled pineapple and you will have a great summer meal to enjoy with the whole family.
